Staff Party

Day 170 - So this evening was interesting...I had my company Xmas party.  We went to a local restaurant, got dressed up and had the LONGEST. MEAL. EVER.  Seriously.  We were all there by 7:30pm and we left the place at 10:45pm.  And not by choice!  Service was SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

Oh yeah, and then my car caught on fire on the way to the after party at my boss' place.  Man, do I know how to have a good time!

Day 167 - The girls in the office decorated today.  It looks like a tinsel factory exploded!  However, it is very festive for the customers.  I like it/

Day 158 - I got another gift at work from my coworker.  Mondays aren't so bad after all!  Isn't he cute?!

Day 151 - Boring day today.  I'm highlighting and completing financial statements. Woo.  But it pays the bills!

Xmas cards!

 

Day 147 - I went on an errand today to Costco.  I picked out the company Xmas cards to be mailed out to all customers and vendors.  This one is for the vendors.  It's actually coloured all the way through.  Very nice.  Now we have to sign them all by hand!

Day 137 - I got a present from a co-worker today for no special reason at all.  Isn't it cute?

She's BACK!!

Day 60 - This is Val.  She's the shop technician for the company.  Best shop technician EVER.  She was on holidays last week - hence all of my additional work - and was missed greatly.  But today she is BACK!!

I hugged her when I came in this morning.  Life (and work) can now go on. 

Missing my man

Day 56 - Today was insane at work...I barely had time to sit at my desk let alone think!  Which meant that my messages with Mr. Penguin were few and far between.  I missed him all day.

Work shoes

Day 48 - I had to start wearing steel-toed shoes today at the shop/office.  I was sad that they didn't have any pretty ones at the store to match my skirts.  I ended up with these.  I can't really go around telling my tech boys that they need to wear them if *I* don't, now can I?!  So here they are.  Woo.

...I miss my heels.

Life moments

Day 46 - I love this quote.  This frame hangs in our hallway and it makes me smile as I pass it on the way to my bedroom each day.

Today's moment that took my breath away?  I received a bonus for my work last week that saved the company money.  It was unexpected and I am extremely touched.  <3

Finished

Day 42 - I did it. I reviewed, corrected and balanced the PST. And I saved the company mega money. It makes the past 2 days worth it.

Now to catch up on the stuff I had to put on the back burner!

PST stuff

Day 41 - I am swamped at work. The person before me messed up some things pretty bad. And with the Government! Awesome.

Today was spent trying to correct 8 months worth of PST remittances. Joy. This is my desk through it all. Hopefully in the end I can save my company money.

Homemade chili

Day 40 - I actually made this chili yesterday. But I always make extra to bring for lunches.

I just finished my bowl and am now ready to take on the afternoon.

Caffeine in a K-Cup

Day 34 - The shipment of office coffee arrived today! Just in time too as I used my last coffee K-Cup this morning.

Gotta have my coffee at the shop. How else am I supposed to get through the day?

Cluttered work desk

Day 14 - It is now 45 degrees out during the day.  The a/c at work is still broken.  I sit at work melting...and drinking slushies.  ;)  This is a corner of my cluttered desk in my office.  We have the basics: stapler, 'entered' stamp, mouse, staple remover, calculator, coffee mug (which is not being used to it's full potential in this heat), phone and a photo of Mr. Penguin.

My work life - from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Hot

Day 11 - HOT. Sooooo HOT!! It was 41 degrees with humidity today...ouch. We had the air on at work all day at it never got cooler than when we first arrived. The temperature didn't increase - but it didn't get cooler either. Brutal.

This is the fan we turned on at work to help circulate the air. It helped. But only if you sat directly in front of it!

Free shoes

Day 7 - My new shoes. They are lime, they have a tiny heel and they are so cute for summer. I saw them at a local consignment store and loved them!

They were then given to me as a token of appreciation for my time and effort in helping the owner with her computer system update.

Some people are too sweet...
