New brown bin

Day 6 - Excitement of excitements! We officially got our brown bin today. It was sitting at the curb waiting for me when I got home.

What's a brown bin? Well, it's the municipal compost program here. Food and biodegradable stuff goes in and then we stick it at the curb for collection once a week.

Simple, effective, green (well, brown really...). I feel so environmental!

Lunch at the market

Day 3 - Today I spent the afternoon with a friend and our babies. We went to the local market and browsed the artist booths and checked out the local produce and baked goods.

On the lunch menu was 'dippity doo wedges' complete with a side of curry dip. So yummy!! What an excellent way to spend a Sunday.

Happiness is a habit

Day 2 - I've been reflecting on what makes me happy recently. I want to continue to grow as an individual outside my roles as wife and mother. I want to be a full person and a role model for my babies. I want to be happy.

This is a photo of a dish in my kitchen. It is my motto in life. Happiness is a habit. A habit I attempt to practice every day.

Kindergarten Orientation

Day 1 - Today I brought my Monkey to school for orientation. She mingled with future classmates, met the 2 teachers and got to experience the kindergarten classroom a bit.
She liked it. I'm so happy for her!

These are the orientation sheets we got from the school. The list of items required, fees for the daycare program and the stat holiday schedule for the next school year.

Another big step in my big girl's life. I'm so proud!!
