New glasses - the black ones

Day 13 - I got new glasses online. If my insurance accepts the receipt, my TWO pairs of glasses will have cost me....$20. Sweet!!

I'm still trying to get used to them. But I like them. This is me in our sweltering heat at 42+ degrees today.

Baby's first ponytail

Day 12 - Baby's first ponytail. Today at daycare, my little girl got her first ponytail put in. You can barely see it, but it's there. For a baby who was born bald and stayed that way for months and months...I am so proud!

Hot

Day 11 - HOT. Sooooo HOT!! It was 41 degrees with humidity today...ouch. We had the air on at work all day at it never got cooler than when we first arrived. The temperature didn't increase - but it didn't get cooler either. Brutal.

This is the fan we turned on at work to help circulate the air. It helped. But only if you sat directly in front of it!

Watermelon

Day 10 - After a lazy day outside on the swing/deck, the girls and I are celebrating with watermelon.

I love summer!

Cousins

Day 9 - Cousins! My nephew was over for the day to visit with my two girls. They had hot dogs for lunch, played in the kiddie pool, had a nap and then we loaded up for dinner and swimming at Nanny & Dampa's house.

A BEAUTIFUL sunny day filled with excitement, children laughing and tons of fun. Perfect.

Free shoes

Day 7 - My new shoes. They are lime, they have a tiny heel and they are so cute for summer. I saw them at a local consignment store and loved them!

They were then given to me as a token of appreciation for my time and effort in helping the owner with her computer system update.

Some people are too sweet...
